Fugitive Pigments

A poetry broadside: an original poem under a spray-stencilled title, illustrated entirely with paintkit brushes.

Fugitive Pigments, a poetry broadside with a spray-stencilled title, a starry night sky above reeds and a moon with a halo
Click the picture for the full-size render.

How it is made

The poem is about impermanence, typeset in Palatino under a title spray-stencilled through its own charpath outline. The illustration is all paintkit brushes: the Milky Way is pkspray cloud and star dust along two shared curves, the moon wears a spray halo, the reeds are pknib tapers with spray-dab seed heads, and the field is pkdry broken texture.
